Social Impact Tours

We offer a range of social impact tours for groups of any size or interest. Explore the communities that surround Stellenbosch and gain in-depth knowledge on socio-political history, social development progress, cultural insight, economic development and more. Included in our tours are specialised community-based guides, community leaders, non-profit representatives and local entrepreneurs. We also offer a focussed social-impact talk, workshops and discussion groups. Tours are custom designed to suit the interest and size of groups. Lunch, refreshments and entertainment can be arranged. A social impact tour is an ideal add-on to any corporate conference.

Attractions include:
– Tours can be conducted in Khayamandi, Pniel, Kylemore, Jamestown, Stellenbosch Vlakte (history of forceable removals under Apartheid) and the Stellenbosch University Campus (post-Apartheid visual redress).
– A sit down lunch with entertainment or pre-packed snack bags
– Facilitated group drumming
– Visits to schools, non-profits, businesses, homes, informal settlements, museums and more
– Social impact workshop or talk

Social impact tours are available to groups of 10 or more people.

  • Transport is not included, but can be arranged on request

  • Any additional purchases along the route. It is advised to bring cash along for the purchase of refreshments, crafts and clothing for sale on the route. Buying from the various informal businesses on the route directly stimulates the economy of the area visited.
Pick up and Drop off

The tour can start at various points depending on the community(s) visited. Please discuss travel arrangements with our agent.
